What is EMDR?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. At its core, EMDR is a therapeutic process that helps you live in the present instead of feeling stuck in the past.

Many people describe EMDR as a way of connecting what we logically know with what our whole system truly believes. For example, you might tell yourself, “I know I’m enough,” yet still struggle with daily thoughts, feelings, or behaviors that contradict that belief. EMDR helps bridge that gap so your mind and body can finally be on the same page.
Some of my clients have even called EMDR “magic” because something they’ve worked so hard to accept suddenly feels possible. To be clear—EMDR isn’t magic. But it is powerful. It allows your brain and nervous system to process and release past experiences that may still be influencing how you feel, think, and react today.
EMDR is proven to be helpful with:
-
Trauma and PTSD
-
Anxiety and panic
-
Depression
-
Grief and loss
What Does EMDR Look Like In Session?

During EMDR sessions, we use bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, sounds, or gentle tapping—to help your brain reprocess memories and experiences in a safe way. This process allows old wounds to heal, lessens distressing symptoms, and helps you feel more grounded in the present.
The goal isn’t to erase your past—it’s to help you settle it, so it no longer defines or limits you. EMDR gives you the space to reconnect with your sense of safety, worth, and possibility—so you can move forward with greater freedom and confidence.
Can I do EMDR online?
