Trauma Therapy

When most people hear the word trauma, they think of a specific event—something big and external. But trauma isn’t just about what happened. It’s about what happened inside your nervous system during and after the experience.

When life feels overwhelming, your system can get flooded. And sometimes, it doesn’t fully reset. That can leave you stuck in survival mode long after the situation has passed. This often shows up as:

  • Feeling constantly on edge or hypervigilant

  • Emotional numbness or disconnect from yourself and others

  • Intrusive memories or thoughts that won’t go away

  • Deep-seated beliefs like “I’m not enough” or “I’m not safe”

The good news is: healing is possible.

In our work together, you can expect:

  • A safe, supportive space where you don’t have to go through this alone.

  • EMDR therapy and other trauma-informed approaches designed to help your nervous system reset and release what it’s been holding.

  • Tools for regulation and grounding so you feel more in control in daily life.

  • Compassionate guidance to help you reconnect with yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to build.

Trauma doesn’t have to define you. Together, we’ll work toward relief, resilience, and lasting healing—so you can move from surviving to truly living. You don't have to continue living in crisis mode. A fact that I often share with my clients is that life will not stop throwing us curve balls. But the goal of trauma therapy is to stabilize your system so that when the curve balls come, you can handle them without being triggered to the past, and also be able to regulate through the hard.
